Paediatric Physiotherapy

Children present a whole range of different conditions that respond well to physiotherapy. It is not just a mini version of adult physio – it requires specialist knowledge and experience – not to mention an easy and relaxed approach so they find the sessions fun as well!  Our specialst paediatric physiotherapist, Kate Searle,  is experienced in treating children with a range of conditions such as Osgood Schlatters, Perthes, fractures etc. and is also experienced in treating babies, children and young people with a range of different conditions (ages birth to 16 years).

What can our paediatric physiotherapist help with? 

  • Back or neck pain (including scoliosis or concerns about posture).
  • Growth related pains (including Osgood Schlatters and Severs).
  • Sports related injuries.
  • Rehabilitation after fractures.
  • Rehabilitation after Orthopaedic surgery.
  • Other paediatric specific conditions such as perthes or juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).

Kate also has a wealth of experience in treating babies and young children. She can offer assessment, advice and treatment if needed on the following: 

  • Concerns about how your child is walking (Including tip toe walking and intoeing). 
  • Concerns about leg shape / foot shape (including knock knees, bowed legs, positional talipes).
  • Concerns about babies head shape (plagiocephaly) or tightness of neck muscles (torticollis).
