We are fortunate to have a women’s health specialist, Helena Cary. Helena is a chartered physiotherapist with over 15 years experience treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions and specialises in sports injuries and Women’s pelvic health.
She qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2006, initially gaining experience within the NHS and then going on to work for the military for 10 years.

Within this time Helena completed studies towards an MSc in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy and became a regional clinical lead for Women’s health. She is also a member of the special interest group POGP (Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy) and is a qualified Pilates teacher with the APPI ( Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute).
She offers Women’s health appointments:
- for women experiencing pregnancy related issues such as pelvic girdle pain, low back pain or leaking with coughing or sneezing.
- for women experiencing post natal issues such as postnatal surgical or assisted deliveries, pelvic organ prolapse or rectus diastasis.
- for women looking to return to full fitness after having children.
